Maraxus was a giant among his kind who could focus more mass fury than any of his predecessor Keldon warlords. He became so powerful that he was out of control by the Keldons.

Leaving his masters when he was young, he ended up commanding the sawtooth ogres, the most bloodthirsty of their kind. Using the ogres as his minions, he came into working for Volrath, evincar of Rath.

Maraxus captured the traitorous Starke but the Rathi native convinced Maraxus that his master was Volrath. Starke was left to die but was saved by the crew of the Weatherlight.

Before the Weatherlight planeshifted to Rath, Acting Captain Gerrard Capashen fought Maraxus and Starke killed the warlord by stabbing him in the back.
