Rofellos was born in the Llanowar forest. He was sent to the forest of Yavimaya to make improvements in the forests' defenses for when the Phyrexian invasion will come.

The maro-sorcerer Multani treated Rofellos as an equal and they were a powerful force when working together. Much later, he met the cat warrior Mirri, and the human Gerrard Capashen, and they were tought magic by Multani. Rofellos was Multani's best student and being an elf, he should have a long time to master it.

Gerrard and Vuel were raised by Sidar Kondo, a leader of a warclan in Jamuraa. Vuel killed his father, Sidar Kondo, and hundreds of others looking for Gerrard. Multani sent Rofellos, Mirri, and Gerrard away in safety from Vuel's forces.

When the Phyrexian agents Morinfen and Gallowbraid attacked Crovax's family estate, the trio were a part of Captain Sisay's crew on the Weatherlight. Rofellos, Mirri, and Gerrard fought back the monsters. Joined with the rest of the Weatherlight crew they won the battle—but at the costs of Crovax's entire estate and family. Rofellos was killed by Gallowbraid, one of Volrath's minions.
