First of all let me introduce you to the decks!!!
-------------------------------------------------
HANNI FISH:
This deck should need no introduction to those interrested in the legacy format! It has had a long successfull past and is still a deck to consider when thinking about netdecking.

4 Meddling Mage
3 Jotun Grunt
3 Mother of Runes
2 Serra Avenger
4 Dark Confidant
4 Swords to Plowshares
3 Duress
4 Brainstorm
4 Serum Visions
4 Force of Will
3 Daze
2 Counterspell
3 Umezawa´s Jitte
4 Tundra
3 Underground Sea
1 Scrubland
1 Island
1 Plains
4 Flooded Strand
3 Polluted Delta
Sideboard

4 Engineered Plague
2 Engineered Explosives
3 Disenchant
3 Pithing Needle
3 Extirpate
-------------------------------------------------
WEE DRYADNOUGTHS:
This deck is relativelly new, the design below is one from Denmark which got top 4 at a legacy tournament there. I haven't been able to track down the original deck that started the wee dryadnougth "trend" but I believe it has it's roots in the older dryaddecks that probably existed before hanni fish.

3 Wee Dragonauts (Card)
4 Quirion Dryad
3 Mother of Runes
3 Daze (Card)
4 Force of Will
4 Lightning Bolt (Card)
3 Lava Dart (Card)
4 Sword to Plowshare
4 Mana Leak
3 Fire/Ice
4 Brainstorm (Card)
3 Serum Visions (Card)
2 Tropical Island
1 Plateau
1 Tundra
3 Volcanic Island
1 Taiga
1 Savannah
1 Yavimaya Coast
2 Windswept Heath
2 polluted delta
2 Flooded Strand
4 Wasteland
62 cards total:

No sideboard posted.
-------------------------------------------------
Now whats the VS part about? Well I'm not going into a detailed description of which of these decks are superior to the other, that's not interresting (For me) and I really haven't the time to play them out against each other!

The vs is all about their designs!

These decks are related/cousins in my eyes because they share a hell of a lot of cards between them and the few deviations are mostly shown in the kill-cards. They almost share the same landbases with few exceptions as well as the castingcosts involved.

Cards shared: (Total of 23)
4 Brainstorm
3 Serum Visions (Hanni has 4 Wee has 3)
4 Force of Will
3 Daze
2 Counterspell
3 Mother of Runes
4 Swords to Plowshares

Number of duallands (8): Hanni = 8: Wee = 10:
Number of Fetchlands (6): Hanni = 7: Wee = 6:
Number of other lands (2): Hanni = 2: Wee = 4:

Conceptual Land Equality: 16 cards...

Cards shared (23) + CLE (16): = 39!!!
-------------------------------------------------
I will stop comparing the decks now because you probably got the similarities worked out now.

Almost 2/3rd's of the decks are technically the same.

If you take a look at the castingcosts of the remaining cards only about 6-8 differ from being similare too, and the last of the cards share almost the same purposes as finnishers!

From a "Deck-Genetical" perspective these decks are the same deck just with a little variation.

If we should look for comparrison in the animal kingdoms these decks would be like two related species of birds with a functinally different beak.
-------------------------------------------------
Why have I bothered to display this?

First of all because I like to follow the evolutionary processes involved in magic, secondly to prove a discussion I am having at the Danish forum where they are actually taunting and disregarding almost every statement I bring to them. When I claimed that evolution rather than human thinking is the main factor in deckbuilding I got a lot of trash from their part! So in order to figth back their statements I am researching a bit on similarities between decks. If anyone of you know of an earlier version of wee dryadnoughts or just dryaddecks I would appreciate it. Since proving how small these deckchanges are will be a small victory for my statements there. These people actually consider me to be a pretty stupid idiot with nothing sensible to say, so if you have any comments on how usefull my posts are to you people, state so below, to defend my honor. I will copy this post and place it in their forum in about a weeks time. Any advice on how to prove that I'm not just some random Noob will be appreciated!

Dude, in T1 it's even worse...

You have:
Generic-combo-deck (consisting of 45 cards, just add your favourite 15)
Generic Blue-based-control-deck, about 45 cards too...

And continue and continue...

It's just the best cards in the format. If you have blue in the deck, you want brainstorms... The only thing I wondered about is the Serum Visions...

You can compare it to other Ubw-decks and they will have the same cards in common

Go look at Eon Blue Apocalypse from the early 2000s. U/w/b control always has the same elements: disruption, draw, removal, and finishers. Back then it was Negator for the removal, but the old favorites are present. Duress, SToP, Meddling Mage Mother of Runes...

Anyway, does it matter if some punks from a podunk part of the web dont give you credit? Not everyone will recognize something good in you. Most people in fact try to ignore positive aspects in people, especially over the internet. You can be satisfied to know that those guys are probably 13 year old boys who are self-important jerks.

BWM: Serum Visions is about as good as brainstorm because it can remove the bad stuff, and it interacts with confidant as well.

I new that many combo decks were sharing some of their mana-accel but I never thougth that it was a trend in legacy as well with non-combo deks!

APPRENTICE: Eon Blue Apocalypse? Hmm. I will be looking it up! And about the "Punks" I know at least some of them are mature beings but the way things developed I have ended in some sort of "hate the wicked" campaign! Also I completely forgot about the "Jante-law" a Danish cultural syndrome that is pretty standard. It is forbidden to show too much talent on one area, especially when noone else can compete with that area, then you must be humble about it. Because of too much work with "American/English" forums I forgot that golden rule and now I am frying :) The reason why it matters is that I will be playing against a high number of these people and I may be too pridefull but I prefer that people playing against me does not consider me to be an idiot! On the other hand, if they think I'm stupid I may have surprise as an extra advantage, though I prefer to play "Fair" in that aspect.

Serum Visions can't dump crappy cards you already have in your hand, therefor Brainstorm >> Serum Visions (assuming you play tutors or fetchlands or both)

BWM: "Serum Visions is about as good as brainstorm" I never said it was better. If there was no tutor/fetch involved I'd personally prefer the serum visions though!
