Soratami
Medium Humanoid (air)
Racial ability adjustments
-2 to Strength
-2 Constitution
+2 Dexterity
+4 Inteligence
+2 Wisdom
+2 Charisma
*Racial Traits
Soratami treat Diplomacy and Autohypnosis as class skills, and have a +2 bonus on Autohypnosis and Concentration checks
*Flight (su)
This is a supernatural ability, and thus does not work in an anti-magic field. A soratami has a fly speed of 10 ft (perfect maneuverability). Effects that increase a soratami’s base land speed increase her fly speed by half that amount. For every 5 HD that a soratami has, her fly speed increases by 5 ft
*Elemental Connection
A soratami spellcaster casts spells with the Air descriptor at +2 caster level
*Naturally Psionic
Soratami gain 2 bonus power points at 1st level.
*Telepathy (su)
Soratami of 10 HD or more have Telepathy 20 ft.
Alignment: almost always lawful and usually neutral.
Favored Class: Wizard (or psion, if you are using psionic rules). Soratami also often take the Rogue class. Soratami who wish to become melee combatants usually take the Samurai class, described in Complete Warrior.
Level Adjustment: +1

Not bad.
But the Alignment is off. Neutral never works for them, and lawful? Are you fucl<ing serious?

I think the alignment is fitting, what would YOU suggest Kenderman?

Lawful Neutral is fine.

blue is the color of control. control implies order. thus, one of blue's lesser aspects is order (thus lawful). blue is also the color of objectivity, and takes no significant stance on morality. soratami arent evil for the most part, just aloof, disdainful, and ruthless.

They are evil, not because they are ruthless, mut merciless. That falls under evil, and counters any other good aspects.

Being Merciless doesn't make you evil. It can make you Neutral also,

Kenderman, it is obvious that you have a LOT to learn about alignments in Dungeons and Dragons. An evil person could be merciless, but does that make a merciless person evil? The Soratami are a race obsessed with control and order. Even though they have a reputation for following the rules to the word, they are only abiding their laws.
Overall, methinks the racial adjustment should be at least +3. The additional dexterity, wisdom, intelligence and charisma, as well as the flight makes them a very powerful race.

well yes, but some of the stat increases are balanced by other decreases. +Dex is balanced by -str, and +wis/+cha is balanced by -Con. thus, the only real stat increase is +4 int. and they may be able to fly, but their speed is a dismal 10 ft, which increases by five every fith level, meaning that by the time they have a halfway decent fly speed flight is also accesible to other races. Ok, how about a +2 adjustment?

A +2 adjustment still doesn't balance the +4 bonus to intelligence and double +2 to charisma and wisdom. Even though they have -2 to strength, it is hardly sufficient. Maybe make it a -4 to strength and remove the Naturally Psionic ability.

ok, ok. remove the +2 to wisdom and charisma. With Naturaly Psionic, they only gain 1 bonus power point. and the Elemental Connection ability only allows them to cast Air spells at +1 caster level.
