Everyone, since I am tired of being an utterly useless member of this forum, and since I have a LOT of time on my hands for the next six days, I have decided to dedicate that time to taking on a rather large project. I am going to write a sort of encyclopedic entry of a plane. Any plane that is voted on by the masses that I have the resources to write.

This entry will describe geography (nations, regions, geographic features), history (divided into geographic regions), details on religion and culture (once again similarly divided), races of that plane, major character born on that plane and, to the best of my ability, as little bias, personal commentary, exageration, and made up facts (to fill in blanks) as is humanly possible.

Here are the choices of the planes that I present to you:

Dominaria
Mercadia
Phyrexia
Rabiah
Rath
Ulgrotha
Serra's Realm
Wildfire


If anyone has an accessible and sensible suggestion other than the planes listed, then I will listen. I will obviously not spend days on a plane such as Equilor, whose mentions in continuty could fill up half a page.

With the webmaster's permission, this could then be posted in the continuity section.

Know this- Wildfire is already a very iffy choice, and Rabiah would be difficult. Although Shandalar is interesting to me, I simply don't have enough information at my immediate disposal to do an entry on it. When I start work on whichever world was chosen, I hope that people in the forum may be able to answer questions that I might get along he way, just in case.

The voting will be done by amount of votes for any particular plane. Although I abhor this method, as people can easily vote more than once, I cannot use eid's d20 method, as the choices lie before me already, and have only to be voted for. Please don't make me work to death over something no one cares about.

Ok- Quick facts which you probobly known-
Wildfire- A plane intimately conected to Rabiah by cyclone-portals, Wildfire is a plane of chaos, boiling water, and Flame. Most of the inhabitants are Djinns, Efreet, Myrads (Old-Man-o'Sea), Shetin (Nekritaal), and Ghuls, and it may be their home plane. The small human population is totally subservent to the Djinni.

Rabiah, the infinite- Plane that refracted it self oveer 1000 other planes, each conected by Cyclone-Portals to other planes, mainly Wildfire and the Jamuraan reagion of Dominaria. The Rabiahans are almost exactly Terran Arabs on all of the Rabiahs though some of the Rabiahs are Matriachal, High-Tech, and some so evil they rival phyrexia.
Noteable people: Taysir, Sinbad, Aladin
Speicies: Djinni, Ruhks, Asps, Camals.

The Abyss may or may not be a plane, or it may be some kind of planar void.

Dominia is another name for the entire multiverse. The planes caught in the Shard are called the Dominarian Nexus.

Urborg is a swamp island in Dominaria, part of the geograhic region knon as the Burning Isles.

Segovia may or may not be a plane, but at any rate, it is completely unknown to me (although I know the signature leviathans). I do not have enough info on it and the Abyss together to be able to fill even a paragraph.

To tell the truth, Phyrexia would be a much easier task than Serra's Realm. Phyrexian lore comes in large clumps, while Serra and her followers are scattered around a thousand more cards. To get most of Phyrexian philosophy, I could look up Phyrexian Creations, in the Myths of Magic anthology. History is easy, and geography is ten times easier with the diagram in Apocalypse.

I'd say Ulgrotha, since that would be interesting, and probably not too difficult as far as size either. Although it would require going back to some old sources that might be hard to find.

Phyrexia and Serra's Realm seem to be the most popular right now, although I don't know either SerraAngel or Merchant of Souls. Not that I mean to be suspicious, but eid, you you run an IP check on them just in case? No offense, people, but I want this to be fair.

I would not volunteer to possibly do Dominaria if I was not up to it, regardless of how long it takes.

If you must know
, I was thinking that, were I to do Dominaria, then I would divide it into continents, and then break down into smaller topics, although I would have histories for the more global events, such as the Ice Age, and the Invasion. The only real example of continental histories overlapping is the Keldon invasion of Jamuraa, and most of Keld couldn't have cared less about the fanatical Latulla and her silly crusade. While it is a major part of the history of the Kipamu League, it is but a fragment of Keldon history.

The polls are now closed. Serra's Realm it is. I guess that means that I'll have to skim over Planeswalker and Time Streams. Too bad. I like Planeswalker, and love Time Streams. Then, there are the collected cards and flavor texts. This should be interesting.

Also, Serra's Realm has a definite endpoint in history.

I resent Segovia. The people that inhabit must me 0/1 or smaller to think that a 3/3 is a leviathan. more like a largemouth bass. Geeze, there are even goblins that could kill that thing. Not to mention, the picture is totally inaccurate. However, this is a game where Tsabo Tsavoc could easily whoop Gerrard Capashen in combat, yet it is totally different in the books.
