Today the HSV creamed NEC Nijmegen 3:0 in the UEFA cup!

Now, what's so interesteing abuot football? Nothing. But look at it this way:

HSV is the "Hamburger SportVerein", a club from Hamburg (the city I live in). And Nijmegen is the city Psycho and BWM live in. That makes this victory an epic one in my book.

Yay for Hamburg! Nay for the dutchies!

when I saw this thread title, I thought it was just an outdated WWII joke...

Would it have been less offensive if he had said "Dutchies PWNED by germans!" ?

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By Sengir (Sengir) on Thursday, February 19, 2009 - 11:29 pm:

it would have been more nerdy for sure.

Damn it. Now I can imagine Nazis running through the streets of 1930s-40s Holland yelling "PWNED!" Stupid poor taste humor.

I am not worried. Galatasaray will win.

Yes, because a German topclub winning from a Dutch mediocre club is such an achievement. It's like taking candy from a mentally challenged baby, and being proud of it.

:)

Oh well, at least we totally PWND the referee.

Hey, I am not into football at all and do hardly know the german clubs, how am I supposed to know how good/bad Nijmegen is?

Anyway, all I just heard was that the Dutch Prince "Psycho" Thure just called himself and his fellow dutchies and Nijmegeners "mentally challanged Babies" and that already made my day.

<steals Psycho's candy>

:drools on Puschkin:

I'd be careful. Nijmegeners are contagious through their drool.

Honestly, there's a zombie invasion every other week here in the Netherlands.

eww. You'll catch Dutch. that's fatal.

This thread reminds me of a Squeeman quote:

Quote:

It's like taking candy from a sleeping, physically handicapped baby.

LOL good times.

Hmm. Apparently Nijmegen also "came in first" at Model United Nations at a Harvard conference this year. Don't ask me how I know that.

I don't even know how you can win at a UN conference, let alone a fake one. Unless you are the US.

Apparently Nijmegen pulled it off, though. They've done it again!

Wait, my mistake. That would only be their first victory.

I guess the MUN nerdathon was Nijmegen's consolation prize.

...

well you're easy to keep entertained, all you need is a laugh track =P

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By Monsieur Skwi (Squeeman) on Monday, February 23, 2009 - 03:04 am:

No. The laugh track is incontrovertible proof that I myself am entertaining.

Of course, since I am thus proven to be entertaining, the only plausible outcome is for me (and everyone else) to be entertained.

I've heard of us winning this RiMUN thingy. Woohoo?

Sure why not.

Pretend it's an "excuse" to drink beer.

You don't need an excuse for alcohol...that's just silly.

It's Carnaval in my part of the Netherlands. Why pretend? Anything right now is an excuse to drink beer. Until 11:11 PM today ofcourse.
