And it feels so good!
After a 3 and a half year hiatus, I finally decided it was time to go ahead and finish my first novel.
I'm sure you guys remember that this story is where the character named Xanatos (who i used so frequently in RPs and as my username) came from.
And maybe you also remember the thread where my whiney fourteen-year old self gave some phyrexians the opportunity to play a part in character development (or mostly just naming characters i had already developed) for the first chapter or so. And for the most part, I snagged 5 names or so, and am very grateful. (so if any of you guys REALLY want those royalties, now's your chance haha)
But basically I know that 3-4 years ago, you guys heard a lot on and off about how I wanted to write a fantasy novel and whatnot. Well now it's finally finished WOO
if all goes well, we might see it on the shelves within about 6 months (i have a plan for publishing, but not a very good one)
Yea well that is all.

Way to go! I myself have a dream of being an author so it's great to see someone else take the same steps! I'd like to know how well it goes and what happens all the way through!
So how many pages will the book be?
(If it's a big book i'm a very potential reader
)

Well, considering how much of a fan I am of books in the Magic cycles, I've become accustomed to 300-400 pages being a suitable novel size.
So this one finished out at 332 pages (at least on my computer; not sure about re-formatting for the final copy)
that's 123,586 words, for the record.
Thank you for your interest

I prefer books with closer to 800 pages+ but that doesn't make me less likely to get your book if it hit's the shelves!
If it does please allow phyrexians to send copies to you for autographing
(Which means you have to send them back :P )

Anyways, you will probably be told to make it larger/smaller, the characters must be less/more detailed, and the plot more/less complicated, and try to hide some anagrams of our company name in there will ya??? Publishers have an awfull reputation!

Yeah. I'm actually planning on rebuffing once i review it a couple more times, and after the first time i show it to an editor. it will probably get 50+ pages bigger after that. But i'm pretty sure my font size will be exactly correct after comparing it to other books.
what do you mean, "company name"?

Well if the publishers called "merlin books"
a character could be named "sko bo nilrem" or such things to influence the minds of innocent readers. just ignore that part
But if you want to be sure your work isnt stolen, you should think about placing a lot of anagrams in the text in form of partial place and character-names, and large sections of text with stuff hidden like that!
If you ever end up in a situation where they steal your book, you may be able to prove it if they do not change massive parts of it
